Deadline Date field in the Sales order header/ FastTab General

Hey There,

In D365UO/AX 2012/ AX 2009, on the sales order header we have a date field "Deadline".

The help text of this field is "Last date for the acceptance of the order". However, I don't find any information about this field in the documentation. for me, it is not related to the "Order entry deadline".

Can anyone help me on this field, what is the function, how is it used?

    Hi Jemm,

    Accounts receivable > Setup > Accounts receivable parameters > general > sales default values > Period of validity, enter the number of days for the sales order deadline. When you create a sales order, the deadline is automatically calculated as today's date plus the number of days specified in this field.

    You can delete all sales orders with a deadline earlier than the specified date in the Delete orders form ( AR/Sales and marketing

    > Periodic> Delete orders).

    The solution suggested by MattGuo is correct. To add to what Matt mentioned, technically the Deadline date field is calculated in the SalesType::initValue() method through the below mentioned line of code (in case if you are looking at the code).
