ReportReport

Hello:

A GP 2016 end user is getting the following error message, upon trying to print a purchase order:

An error occurred while trying to display the report.  Use the DynamicsGP_BIReportDeployment.log file in your temp directory for details.

What is the best way of combatting this error?  Is the temp directory on the server or on the end user's workstation?

Thanks!

John

    John,

It seems you have assigned an SSRS report to print instead of the standard Dynamics GP purchase order. In the the PO Entry window, click on Available Reports and see if this is the case. Remove he assigned report and try to print your PO once more.

    Hi Mariano:

    Actually, I received updated information.

The use user is, in fact, trying to print an SSRS report from "Available Reports" but is getting that error.  The client calls the report a "PO Receiving Order" report.

    John,

You cannot just print any report. In fact, the report should support the necessary parameters that would otherwise be used to run a PO, for example, the PO Number and the PO Type. If the SSRS report supports those two parameters (no more, no less) then you are good to go.
