Hi

Has there being a change made to the handling of the salesperon code when creating new orders.
Up unitl now it was defaulted to the salesperson associated with the account but now it seems to be associated with the current user.

It worked for the last two years but something changed in the past 3 weeks has anyone else experienced the same issue?

Thanks Neil

Check the User Setup list. If the column Purchaser/Salesperson code has been changed recently (if You have change log enabled for this table).

This behavious falls in line with the upgrade from

    : 24.5.23489.23968
    : 25.0.23364.24599

So is there an toggle switch or setting to allow you choose the behaviour when creating a sales order?

    Hi
As our colleague indicates, check if the user never had a salesperson configured.
You should have the same data level in both versions.
For example, also check if the salesperson does not have the privacyblocked option configured.

This is how it works across all versions: if a customer's card has a default salesperson code, it will automatically populate on the order. If the customer card does not have a salesperson code, the system will use the salesperson code assigned to the user in the User Setup page, if one is defined. I've tested in both V24.5 and V25 to confirm and it works the same.

If this is not the default behavior in your system, it may be caused by customization. Uninstall the third-party extension and try again.

I figured out what is going on.

In user setup I had populated the Salesperson code as a result when I create an order, BC will use me as the salesperson as opposed to the salesperson on the customer card. When I removed the sales person code in user setup the order will create for the customer salesperson code.

Up to version 25.0. it always choose the salesperson on the customer card even though the sales person code was set on the user setup table.

Strange in my opinion, hope this post helps somoene else.
