i am using lot number with expairy date in my inventory module. we are using 'Inventory Transfer' entry to transfer materials to different site from main warehouse. it was working fine but recently some of the transfer entries we cannot post because its showing error "Transaction Cannot be posted.line items contains errors.A qty's not avilable to sell for this lot". i checked all line items all are having lot and its selected .

please advice. kindly find the screen shot..

Dear Rafeesh,

1. Open SQL and run the below query

SELECT SOPLNERR, * FROM SOP10200 where SOPNUMBE = ‘<xxx>’

Note In each statement, replace the <xxx> placeholder with a document number.

2.Note the value in SOPLNERR field, if there is any line with value other than 0 then
take the Item number corresponding to it and reconcile.

3.Once done open the sales transaction Entry Screen and the Sales Lot Entry corresponding to the Item and remove the Lots and re -enter it.

after that try to post it.

i am using the inventory => transfer entry to transfer to another location. not using sales transaction entry . so kindly guide me accordingly.

You can try doing a Inventory Reconcile on the part

this usually fixes it

You can open up the Item Inquiry and see where the item is allocated to?

Hi Refeesh,

First check enough quantity is available or not. You can check Inquiry-->Inventory --> Lot. If you expect quantity for specif lot (s) and it showing incorrect then checklink and Reconciliation need to be done.

i did reconcilation and checklinks for inventory module . still the same i cannot able to post such transaction. i am not facing for all posting in inventory transaction. its few entry only.please advice a solution to fix it

Hi Refeesh,

It might be possible that quantities inside that lot might be allocated to somewhere; have you tried to investigate further and find out what kind of transactions are exist on the selected lot?

you may have to review the posting accounts for the item...

I have also had success with removing the line item and adding it back in..

Hi Rafeesh,

I recommend running Reconcile against the following modules:

1. SOP

2. POP

3. INVENTORY

Make sure it is in that order.

Review the reports generated by each process and verify if it has something to do with the item in question.

It is possible that the item quantity in question is allocated in SOP/POP hence the reason they are giving the error.

One thing you can also try is delete the current transaction and then re-enter it. The transaction itself may be corrupted and just needs to be refreshed.

yes i did the reconciliation and still my issue is not solving. when i check the lot balance and quantity on hand is accurate. please help me to solve this issue.
