CRM plugin error dialogs on Outlook 2013 ProPlus

I have Outlook 2013 with an active Office365 ProPlus licence.  I have the MS Dynamics CRM plugin for Outlook.

In Inbox, I have Reading Pane set to Right and Message Preview is off.  If I click Reply/Reply All to an email, I get an error dialog: The form region "MSCRM_WebPageFormRegion" cannot be opened.

In Outlook Calendar, I have some Shared Calendars.  If I click on any of the Calendars or any of the Events in the calendar, I get an error dialog:

Custom UI Runtime Error in Microsoft Dynamics CRM: An exception occurred while calling function "HrExpIorerauttonGetLabeI". The exception message is: The operation failed. The messaging interfaces have returned an unkncn,vn error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plug-in.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook and Office 365 ProPlus.  To no avail.

Any ideas as to what to do?

Do you have multiple version of outlook installed on affected workstation ?

This is happening one or multiple users ?

Are you using CRM online or OnPremise ?

    Hi Satish,

I have Microsoft Outlook 2010 and 2013 installed.

I'm the only user who logs on to this workstation.

    I am using CRM OnPremise.

Both above error that you have mentioned in your post occurs when we have multiple version of Outlook. You will need to uninstall either outlook 2010 or 2013 to fix this issue.

    Hi Satish,  Thanks for responding.

I uninstalled Outlook 2010 but this had no effect.

I then uninstalled the CRM Plug-in and repaired Office Pro Plus from Office365.  The repair took a very long time - it appeared at times to be stuck - but eventually completed.  I then reinstalled the CRM plug-in but am getting the same result.

One change is that the Drafts folder is now missing from the left navigation in Outlook.

Note: I am also getting the "either there is no email default mail client..." error on startup.  No idea whether this is linked or not.

But pretty fed up with Windows Office, Office365, SharePoint Online etc.  Just seems to be one niggly error after another.  So much of my life I won't get back...

    Ok,

I uninstalled Office, uninstalled CRM plug-in, restarted.

    Installed Office.  Restarted.

Opened Outlook - got the MSCRM error about 5 times!  I.e. way worse than before AND the plugin is not even installed!!!

Previously I was only getting the error if the plug-in was installed.

    Hi PSCJohnM,

I have also encountered this issue on a terminal server where office 2010 was previously installed, and we moved to Office 2013.

As many users already had Dynamics configured on their workstations, when logging into the workstation and launching outlook they would be bombarded with CRM addin error popups.

The solution I found was to remove the MSCRMClient folder from the registry (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSCRMClient) and then reconfigure the addin per user.

Make sure to export a copy of the key before deleting it just in case.

I hope you were/are able to find resolution to this.

    Good luck!

    Regards,

    Arend
