Hi,

My company has recently moved to Dynamics CRM 2016. We have bunch of orders and quotes. I am looking to find a way to import all current orders and quotes (along with their products) in bulk. I have tried Order, Quote, OrderProducts and QuoteProducts templates but faced error.

My principal questions are :

-where should I enter Order_IDs? In the original template there is no pre-specified record for Order (Quote) IDs

-Can I import all orders with their products just once, or should I import orders first and then fill them with related products one by one?

Thanks

I want to tra

    Hi

I would break this down into 4 import

    1) Quotes

    2) Quote Lines (Products)

    3) Orders

    4) Order Lines (Products)

You will need to make sure that you have all the products loaded in. Upon importing you can let Dynamics set the Order ID and Quote ID however to import the lines you will need to have a unique identifier to match the lines to the parent

    Hi ,

Please find your answer , hope this helps -

-Where should I enter Order_IDs? In the original template there is no pre-specified record for Order (Quote) IDs?

You can find QuoteId fields  in SalesOrder table , which means you should create your quote first with quote details.(Quote Details related to product so make sure you have all the products.)

-Can I import all orders with their products just once, or should I import orders first and then fill them with related products one by one?

You can create order first and linked products after that .
