Hi,

We have PDF generation in D365, it wasn't there, then it was. Not sure how it was turned on. But it is only available for Quotes which does not seem right. 

Does anyone know how to set this to work over other part of the system like Order, invoice etc.?

    Hi Will,

    Interesting, I believe there's no PDF generation out-of-box in Dynamics 365 so it must be (part of) a third party solution.

    Please check the installed solutions if this is the case.

    Hi Will,

    I was mistaken, there is standard functionality for PDF generation, but only on/for the quote entity.

    Unfortunately only for quote at the moment:

    Hi William,

    This feature was added as part of the April Wave of updated. It is currently available only for the quote entity.

    There have been requests on the Microsoft Ideas portal to extend this to other entities, but it is not available yet.

    You can vote on this idea here in order to add it to other parts of the system:

    For invoices and orders and complex document generation there is no real working solution integrated in Dynamics 365.

    But there is the OfficeIntegration by awisto that can be integrated as managed solutions and generate pdfs and work with XML-based templates
