Hello All
We are getting this error when clicking the 'Add' button to add an address to an employee: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
We have successfully imported the addresses with the employee details via Excel, however these are not showing on a employee's profile in the interface.
Thank you in advance.
Hi Lindsay,
This is something strange issue.
Did you try with which System Admin? Is it working?
Can you please put some screenshots?
If it is not working with the Sys Admin role and You should contact with MS support team.
Can you tell which exact data entity was used and what columns were provided in the source file?
When we imported the employee data (via Excel) with addresses, (template 'HcmImportPersonnelManagementEmployees') the address data was added to 'WorkerPostalAddress' and 'WorkerPostalAddressV2' entities. If I export these to tables into Excel I can see the data and it is linked to a personnel number. However, the address details do not show in the Address section on an Employees record and I cannot add a one manually as I get the above error.
Perhaps something in the setup is missing but it is unclear what.
Yes, our user has System Admin Role
I used entity: WorkerPostalAddressV2 to create an address for an employee through Excel workbook designer and clicked on Publish changes.
I checked the employee form with the employee name and Address Tab. I can see employee address is added.
I don't see any issue.
If you follow the above steps then can you please check whether you are getting the same error?
Hello Parag - Thank you for your assistance.
Having tried this, the address is imported successfully via excel, however frustratingly the address does not show in the address tab in the employee record.
Is it giving any error like earlier?
Can you send me the screenshot of the Employee detail page?
No error, the address record is successfully imported into the WorkerPostalAddressV2 table but it does not show on the Employee. Only when I click 'Add' do I get the error.
I am currently using Firefox, however I am experiencing the same on chrome.
Hello,
Do you have the feature "Saved views" enabled on your environment. If so turn it off and then try again?
I have noticed weird behavior around worker addresses when this feature is turned on
regards,
Thank you Juan, we don't have saved views enabled.
