NAV 2016 - Test Tool

Hi.

I've setup a virtual machine on Azure with Nav2016 NA and I've run the US tests in TestTool but I am getting the following error: The supplied field number '10018' cannot be found in the 'Customer' table. Looks like hundreds of tests are failing with this exact error. I'm running against the Cronus International Company.

I've tried recompiling all objects and restarting the service tier but that didn't help.

Have you checked customer table and see if that field exist ? If that field exists delete the record from the object metadata table for the customer table 18 and recompile the object.

Yes I checked that table. That field does not exist.  I recompiled the object, but that did not solve the issue.

I think the test tool may be referring that field and that field is not present in 2016 but was in earlier versions.

Yes.  I agree.  This is a Microsoft test which was bundled in the VM.  Do I need to send a support request for the people at Microsoft to fix the tests?

Have you tried with latest Cumulative Update ?

It was my understanding that the VM images on Azure would have the latest CU. I double checked and it is the latest CU.

I think i found the issue, when you install NAV on Azure it is W1 version not NA version, the testtool kit you are using is for NA version, try to create a new database from NA version DVD using backup and try your testtool kit.

The 10018 and there are other fields are in NA version not in W1 version.

Yes.  I think this will solve the problem.  I will let you know. Thanks.

I created a new database from NA version DVD and reran the testtool kit.  Test passed. :)
