Report Writer: Check Stub on Top and Bottom - Text

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 765

Hi,

Does anyone know how to push down a page in report writer.

My issue is that when I print multiple checks, the first one is aligned correctly; however, the remaining pages are off. At the bottom of the first page, the beginning of the next check shows up. It is almost as if GP reads this as one whole report, instead of 5 different checks.

    Hi,

Sometime its related to the printer driver problem.  Have you tried to print different printer which connected directly to the system than network.

    Thanks,

    Babu

Are you printing a modified report?  If so, does it behave differently if you print the standard report.  The first thing to try is to print the standard check (not a template) and see how it prints. Do not use anything that has been modified.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Thanks for the replies.

Babu - Our client first discovered the issue. I then went into their systems in our office and printed them using our printer which gave me the same problem.

Leslie - We had to modify their report to align their check stubs. We went into report writer to shift the fields around. Our client uses standard printing and not a template. I'm assuming template means the word document, correct? Under user security we assigned them the modified report which is the report where we had moved the fields to fit their check stubs. So if I printed the checks with the unmodified report and they turn out okay, does that mean the issue is with the report and not the printer? I don't think it is a printer issue as I mentioned to Babu. I printed the checks in our office and they had the same issue.

Would you suggest a creating another modified report from the original report?

    Best,

    Ronald
