I am having trouble creating a weight based item in the inventory. specifically frozen meats.
an example, EAN code 2350701323303.
23: weight item
507013: product serial
2330: actual weight of item (2,330 kg)
3: control code
is this correct? if so, what must i enter in the article inventory, so i can scan this item.

Hello,
First change your code to price embedded but not weight. since when you scan an item which is weight embedded,you have to input the weight manually at the POS.But for price embedded the item will scan and compute the weight automatically.
Then create an item with an item lookup code as below.
2350701000000
Then ensure that your system is enabled to utilize random weight EAN and UPC Codes.To enable this use store operations manager>File>Configurations>Options>POS options and tick utilize random weight EAN and UPC codes.
Then try scanning the item.
