Actual Travel Duration: Multiple Journal Entry Calculation

Hello,

Our users will often use the "traveling" booking status more than one time per bookable resource booking. The timestamps are collected, as expected. The problem is that travel duration is not calculated correctly.

Use this example: WO created, engineer creates booking, WO status is changed to scheduled. Engineer starts "travel" when s/he leaves home (ex., 20 minutes), sets it to "in progress" when they arrive, then to "travel" again to return to office (ex., 15 minutes). Once back to the office, the bookable resource booking is marked "complete".

The bookable resource booking should calculate 35 minutes for total travel time. The problem I'm having is that the field "actual travel duration" in the bookable resource booking is populating with a value of 20 minutes (only the first travel timestamp).

Any ideas as to why this field isn't summing all travel journals as expected? I would expect the system to return a value of 35 minutes actual travel duration.

I have the same question (0)

This should have been 35 minutes, based on similar experiences with this travelling scenario. Let me have a look and come back, but can you check journals are created properly? (after Work Order is completed)

    Hi Ali,

Thank you for getting back to me! Yes, the journals have been created properly. I can create an advanced find using the booking journals and spin the data in a pivot table to get the numbers we need, but we'd really like the system to calculate them correctly within the bookable resource booking. Thank you so much!

I ran a test on this scenario today and here are the findings:

    1. Created a booking and changed status number of times in Schedule Board (Desktop - not using mobile app)
    2. This created Booking Journals correctly but notice Actual Duration is zero because technician actually didn't travel (I kept changing status artificially in Desktop instead of using mobile app). On changing status from mobile app, it seems to have worked fine. Is it similar to your scenario?

I tried to travel in such scenarios and it always takes almost twice as much time. The last time I was in Dublin info , I rented a car in order to be on time and complete my schedule. Consider this
