I have the requirement for phone number format in crm. the user wants a Europe format.

There are different phone number formats in Europe - are they wanting all European formats to work, and no non-European ones to work? Are they wanting to match it to country?

If you're on v9 Online and using the Unified Interface, you can set field masks, but to my knowledge they can't be conditional (i.e. if country = X then this format, if country = Y that format, etc...). If you need that level of logic, or aren't using the Unified Interface, you'd need to write this in Javascript. Some examples (some CRM specific, and some just about general formatting/parsing) are:

and a library that you may be able to leverage:

If it's just one format, that certainly makes things easier. So yes, you could definitely do that with a field mask if you're in Online and using Unified Interface. Otherwise, the javascript examples above are still applicable with slight adaptation for your specific format. If it's a single format you wouldn't need the added complexity of using the library or anything - something more simple like in the answers of the first post would work just fine.

Thanks but tour blog refers to the same kind of article where you can set only one format. In Europe there are different format and different number of digits (ex Belgium 9 vs France 10).

How to deal with this in 2023 ? Still not possible ?
