How to give rights to post in Bank Transactions

I need to give a user the rights to post Bank Transactions but not Journal Entries. I have given them Series Posting in the Financial Module. The system is set to post through on other modules and he can post without issue. There is not an option to create a batch in Bank Transactions so where is the logic of giving someone access to the Bank Transaction screen without the ability to post??? Where can I find a task to allow posting of Bank Transactions?

Use the Task ID TRX_FIN_005* to give access to the user for Bank Transaction Entry.

That task specifically says does not include posting. My user does have the task. That allows him into the screen and do everything he needs except post.

Have you tried to assign the Task ID "TRX_FIN_003*"?

Yes that gives series posting. He has that.

Brenda, from within the TRX_FIN_005* task, change the 'Type' from 'Window' to 'Series Posting Permissions and check 'Bank Transaction Entry'. This will add posting permissions to that task. If you want only this user to have posting permissions, create a new Task with the posting permissions and assign it to a role the user has.

For me, I would save my MS cases for other complicated issues :)

Nothing more valuable to add up, just to shed a light on the two required security tasks for posting bank transactions. The first task will grant the access on the Bank Transaction window, while the other will grant the access for posting Bank Transactions.

I did exactly that and it did not work. MS is on the case now I will let you know what they find.
