Dear all,
I've been looking around for a while but couldn't find any similar topic, as such I'm opening a new one.
For my client we will be rolling out D365 F&O in multiple countries soon. For those countries, I'm looking for the regulatory laws/legislations we will need to comply with.
I know the localisations overview on the Microsoft website (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/lcs-solutions/country-region?toc=%2Fdynamics365%2Ffinance%2Ftoc.json), but not the laws/legislations we should comply with.
Is there such an overview available, with all countries and which specs/details D365 FO should meet?
Thank you for your help!
Will they be implementing in Turkey?
You are asking for a combined overview of all international, national and potentially regional/local laws and regulations which your clients companies need to adhere to? Remember these are not specific to D365FO.
Such an overview does not exist.
If your client has operations in these countries already, they should be familiar with the requirements of doing business.
Often local partners are engaged in implementations within certain areas, to address local requirements.
Hi Billur, oops replied with my home account first. Thank you for your response. Rollout for Turkey not clear yet, at least not in the coming period. Are there any local laws/legislations we should be aware of in case of Turkey rollout? Then we already have that knowledge :) Much thanks!
Hi Nikolaj,
Thank you for your help. Indeed, we are looking for such an overview, and preferably related to the specs of D365FO.
That is does not exist, is also an answer. For these countries we will be moving from another ERP system to D365FO, as such they're not familiar with Dynamics and it's possible regulations.
Thanks for the suggestion regarding local partners, will look for them in the partner AppSource and contact them!
The regulations you are asking about are not specific to D365FO and any D365FO knowledge is irrelevant here.
So work with the client in specifying what they do today to meet specific requirements.
Then you can investigate how D365FO can address those requirements.
In Turkey, there are lots of legislations that differ and in that case I would advise you to work with a partner in Turkey and there is additional localization packages you may need to install. But these are not licenced by Microsoft as far as I know.
That is correct, but I still think any D365 FO knowledge would be helpful. For example, whether Dynamics requires a local certification and/or approval, in some countries the data will be stored in a cloud outside the country (issue?), etc. I agree that general legal knowledge would be the basis to answer my question, but combined with D365 knowledge.
The combination of local knowledge and D365 experience is why many implementations engage local partners as previously noted.
When you know where you will be rolling out and potentially what regulatory requirements will have to be met, then you could ask the community for assistance.
I know that specific local requirement challenges are often discussed on the forum, as there are lots of very experienced people here from across the globe
But you need to figure out what requirements to meet with your client first.
