issue in update the active quote fields into database. getting error.

Hi All, 

Can i update the active quote fields into database. I made all fields editable of active fields but when i am saving its giving error. the object is read-only cannot save like that.

I want to update Business Process fields which is placed on Quote entity. Kindly let me know the workaround.

    Error is : The object cannot be updated because it is read-only.

    how you are updating this quote (webservices or crm web interface)?

    1- I have made the editable fields of active quote using javascript on onload.

    2- So the editable the i am trying to save fields into database. for those fields i set setmode("always"). in javascript. still not able to save. getting above error.

    are custom fields or standard fields?

    1- Yes all are custom fields.

    which is the exact state reason and status reason of the quote?

    Quote Status is active. in in progress status reason.

    there are plugin registered on the update event?

    No, not using any plugins on quote entity.

    there is javascript code inside the onsave event?

    yes used javascritp for saving the readonly fields of quote entity.

    Sure please give me some time. ill share you. actually i removed it from the entity.

    or you suggest me what i should do to implement this.

    just want to updated Business Process Feild after Quote activation.

    I have some fields on BPF stage of Quote entity. after activate the Quote it need to update as check mark, but it gives error. readonly canot update. becasue quote is activated.
