Hi,
Depending on your GP licensing you may already own the Extender product which would allow you very easily to add some fields to your Vendor Maintenance. That doesn't require any programming code to be written and can be enabled very easily for all your users, since it doesn't require to deploy any code.
We've done such additions for our Vendor Card to track some additional information not available in the base form.
Superhuman should not do these worldly minor work, they should outsource these small task to developers like us. lol

When adding a new field, you need to create your own database table in order to host this field.
