taxes based on unit of measure

Posted on by 2,046

hi folks

I need to charge an environmental levy (tax) of two cents per base unit of measure (each).

in tax detail maintenance I can set the based on to be flat amount per unit and amount = $0.02

When my unit of measure schedule then says that I can have a box of 12 I need $0.24 i.e. 12 X $0.02

Do I need another tax detail that does this, or is there a way to make the unit in flat amount per unit be the base unit of measure?

If I need another tax schedule how can I get SOP choose the appropriate tax schedule based on the unit of measure rather than the item / customer combination?

    You can't.  Not without a customization, or possibly a 3rd party add-on.
