re-assigned entities - changed dates on all activities

When an entity ( case , opportunity, ect) is assigned to another user, all the activities within the original entity changes date to the date of re-assignment.  Is this std CRM protocol or is this a bug?  Is there a way to recover the original activity dates if there is not audit history on the activities?

    Hi CRM NEWBY,

This behaviour is configurable.  Under Customisations, expand your Case entity > 1:N Relationships > Find the relationship (let's say with Phone Calls entity).

In the Relationship Behavior section, change the value in Type of Behavior to Configurable Cascading and change the value in Assign to Cascade None.  This will stop this behaviour.

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers,

    Hi,

It is not a bug. It is a standard design in CRM.

Please refer the following thread. The problem you are facing is discussed below in detail.
