Is something like duplicate Entity Possible?

Hi All,

In the SiteMap new Area have been created say Suggestion&Comp along with service and Settings.

When I navigate to Suggestion&Comp-> there is an Suggestion and Complaints (Entity)

Both the Entity is Pointing to Case 

For Example:User creates a Case as per the requirement we have a optionset Type (Which has options Such as suggestion and complaints)where he selects either of 2 .If he creates case with type as Complaint.The Same record is available under Complaints with same details like wise for suggestions.I tried to check in solution there is no entity called  Suggestion and Complaints.

Kindly help me to find what is done exactly I was not aware of this duplicate Entity Creation.TIA

    Hi,

    There is no way to manipulate sitemap to display specific view for an entity. You can go for the workaround suggested above by Arun.

    Hi,

    You can add same entity more than one in sitemap with different display names. so that you are getting same entity icon with different names. There is no wonder in it.

    coming to Views if it is only for you then its pined based on option name. But If in case the views are same for all users then there should be some customization/View loading script on load of page.

    My recommendation is this:

    You have single entity "Case" with different types of records, namely Complaints & Suggestions. The problem with Sitemap is you have to mention the entity which is Case in both cases, then CRM will load "Default" view like My complaints/Active cases in both places.

    Better, create two different views with proper filters for Suggestions/Complaints, add two Dashboards with each view in it, setup the default dashboard in sitemap.

    Hi  I have never used  Sitemap Editor before so kindly point me some links or steps to achieve this,

    Rename case Entity as 1.Complaints 2.Suggestions and it should point to cases filtered with type(Complaints/Suggestions).

    Where type is option-set field on case Entity with values(suggestion,complaints,Inquiry).

    Please suggest,

    I can see you are using CRM 2015 , connect to XRMToolBox sitmap editor plugin , you can check from there what are the navigation added and how its working .

    Thank you for the Response Goutham.Ya Im trying to understand.

    How is it Possible to show the case Entity with different names?

    Trying to figure out how complaint and suggestion is done and how case records are appering based on option they choose.

    Sorry , I am bit confused you said in the first statement "Both the Entity is Pointing to Case " and then  "I tried to check in solution there is no entity called  Suggestion and Complaints.".

    I understand your requirement but what is your actual issue please clarify. Is it something you did ? or someone did you are trying to understand?
