Date format in document template

Hi everyone,

By default, the date format in the document template is YYYY-MM-DD, but the end user would like to change it to DD-MM-YYYY.

In the user option, I have already setup as EN-GB, but it only controls the display in the system, not the document template.
I remember that the format is also fixed as YYYY-MM-DD in the data management excel template. Therefore, I'm wondering if it is possible to change the format on the template by configuration.

    Hi,

You can find the template here. You can try out to download it, set up the date column and upload it again.

    Kind regards, Adis

    Hi,

Adis's suggestion work for all users, but for specific user, end user can apply Excel formatting manually after exporting. You can suggest applying a custom date format ('DD-MM-YYYY') in Excel column.

    Right-click column > Format Cells > Date > Custom: DD-MM-YYYY

    Thanks.

I tried to update the cell format via excel, I uploaded the format into the system, and downloaded it again for data population, however, the date format is refreshed from DD-MM-YYYY to YYYY-MM-DD.

@Adis, @Raj, could you please provide more information how to set up the date format for all users? The end user would like to download a template with the default date format DD-MM-YYYY.

    Hi STP,

The cell setting is indeed an Excel format, this has no relation with the user options. Can you tell us how you did upload your changed Excel template? Did you verify if you downloaded the same file as you uploaded? You can e.g. change colors or add a specific word to recognize your uploaded template.
