WCF Unable to Log On to Microsoft Dynamic Ax

Dear Experts,

I use Microsoft Dynamic AX 2012 R3 CU9 and Visual Studio 2013

The Microsoft Dynamic AX client working properly

But when I want to create a Report Model on Visual Studio but I have an error while I create a project

It said " Unable to connect to the AOS specified in the Microsoft Dynamics AX Client Configuration. The Configuration could be missing, invalid or the AOS is not running. To connect the AOS check the network connection between the client and the AOS, verify that a valid configuration exists, and that the AOS service is running on the server "

Visual-Studio-Error.PNG

And then I opened Microsoft Dynamic AX Configuration Utility, tried to do Refresh Configuration and I have  an error " An error occured while regenerating WCF configuration: Exception occurred on the metadata service on client or server. See exception details belos: > Unable to log on to Microsoft Dynamics Ax "

How to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Bintang

Make sure that in the AX Client Configuration tool the AX AOS server name, instance name (could be left empty), port and WSDL port are correctly specified. Also antivirus/Windows firewall might block communication, try disabling firewall in the Domain profile on your AOS.

After that once you have been able to refresh your WCF for the Local client, you need to verify the same in the AX Configuration tool by selecting Business Connector from the dropdown, and providing the same AOS settings there, and refreshing WCF there too.

I think Client Configuration has a correct value, because I never change it

My partner was setting Microsoft Dynamic AX into partition, is it impact to configuration?

Yes, see the first tab. Partition must match in your configuration with the one that you are using, fill it for both local client and business connector, then try to refresh WCF.

AX Configuration successfully refresh but the Visual Studio still disconnected from AOS

I want to set Visual Studio to specific configuration file, what configuration file I must create Local Client or Business Connector?

Pointing the Visual Studio to a specific configuration file by command line is possible, but it does not work reliable I am afraid - in some cases it falls back to the Registry value still stored in your currently selected configurations.

You are better off switching your current local client and business connector configuration to the environment which you want to use, and remove the command line to use a specific AXC from your Visual Studio shortcut.

Still disconnected from AOS using specific configuration file or switching my current local client and business connector configuration

    Any other idea?

Step away for a minute from creating a reporting project.

If you just open Visual Studio and then open the Application explorer to see the AX AOT, are you able to do that? If not, then your configuration or installation could be broken, and I would be out of ideas.

You could try to open a ticket with Microsoft to get help from their support system engineers.

Yes, Application Explorer showing Disconnected from AOS

Should I Generate Full CIL or compile full application? or maybe clear AUC file?
