Hi

When I update an opportunity through the sales cycte stages the Estimated Close Date always reverts back to the current date I want  it to carry forward the estimated closed date to the next stage. Is this possible?

Ie. Sales Cycle stage 1 has an estimated closed date of 31/01/2022. I update the opprotunity to move the next stage the estimate close date reverts to the current date. I want it to be 31/01/2022.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks Neil.

    Steve

    It does update it,  but the issue is that lets saya I set the estimated clos date to be 31/ Jan on stage 1 when I move it to stage 2 on the 25th the estimated close date changes to the 25th. where as I want it to default to the 31st.

    I had to solve it with a some code in the end.

        [EventSubscriber(ObjectType::Page, Page::"Update Opportunity", 'OnAfterGetRecordEvent', '', true, true)]
        local procedure UpdateEstimatedClosingDate_OnAfterGetRecordEvent(var Rec: Record "Opportunity Entry")
        var
            oppent: Record "Opportunity Entry";
        begin
            oppent.Reset();
            oppent.SetRange("Opportunity No.", Rec."Opportunity No.");
            if oppent.Find('-') then begin
                oppent.FindLast();
                rec."Estimated Close Date" := oppent."Estimated Close Date"
            end;
        end;

    Neil,

    So when you click, off the Opportunity, the Update choice on the Action bar. The image appears and you update the fields and click OK. Does this not update the Estimated Closing Date to the new date?
