InventSumLogTTS still gets entries after checking parameter "Disable all planning processes" (Master planning parameters)

Hi all!

After some research to find a way to optimize performance and clear InventSumLogTTS entries I found that since we are using Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU12 this parameter should be the answer.

Master planning parameters > General > Planning processes > Disable all planning processes - checked

I have checked this and I'm following the number of entries in the InventSumLogTTS table and for a few of my legal entities I still see new entries in this table.

Is this expected? Can I still just clear the entries and expect this to stop?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings from Denmark,

Lars

    Hi LarsBrink!

    Check this link https://organicax.com/2016/09/16/inventsumlogtts-disable-all-planning-processes-in-cu11-and-ax7/

    It's about D365FFO, but i think it's suitable for AX2012.

    Hi Rustem,

Thank you for taking time to respond. I actually found the checkmark using this post and have set it for my legal entities since we are not using Master Planning. But after setting this I have still seen that some data is inserted into the table InventSumLogTTS. That left me with the question(s):

    1) Will updates continue for some time?

    2) Will updates only stop if the table is emptied after setting the check-mark?

    3) Possible error in the usage of the check-mark?

    Regards,

    Lars

-- "InventSumLogTTS â€“ This is a long time standing issue and we are very happy to hear there is now a proper resolution.  There has always been an issue that transactions are written into this table upon any update to sales/supply/etc. MRP was the only process that truncates this and thus if a company isn’t running MRP, this doesn’t get cleaned up. The only previous solution was to clean up manually (create a script) or turn off configuration key. New Dynamics AX V7 update â€“a new parameter ‘Disable all planning processes’ has been introduced that disables all planning processes which disables insertion into the InventSumLogTTS table…This also introduces checks when enabled to avoid companies from using MRP so it’s not unreliable."

I'm afraid what this functionality doesn't work on previous versions. Perhaps someone from the experts can tell us more...

This table really does nothing other than take up space and reduce performance.

You can just delete it or better run mrp regen every night/week to clear it out.

    Hi again,

    No worries.

It seems that the growth of the table has stopped. It did continue about 12-15 hours after I checked the parameters. Could be long-running batch jobs or other processes executing when the parameter was changed.

Thanks to all for adding information here. I will update in some time when I have cleared the table hopefully to see it remaining empty!

    Best regards,

    Lars
