Is it possible to measure the time from when a Form is opened from "New" until it is "Saved" or has value in field "createdon"?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I would like to measure the speed of input on our forms, to improve the general user experience and usability of our Dynamics CRM forms. For that, i need to collect data from users. I need to know the speed of form creation, which is why i need to measure when a Form is being opened from "New" until it is "Saved".

Is this possible?

    Hi Tarik,

Do you want to customize  CRM for this?

I agreed with Arun, however  if you still want to do customize for that simply you can create an temporary entity with some start datetime and end date time or any integer field to track seconds and ask  user to fill there feedback over there manually. You may analyse those data and figure out the average time.

You can time it using timer/stop clock to capture it. There’s no other way.

May be you can record & replay using visual studio web test recorder. Then replay & track the time within VS. We use this performance testing including think time, etc.

You can measure the page load time using Performance center by pressing ctrl+shift+E in chrome. Or network tools in browser to see request/response timeline.
