Thanks in advance for your help and support.
Currently building an ERP solution for our business using Dynanics NAV with LS retail.
On the E-comm side we are using InRiver as a PIM between NAV and Magento that is our CMS.
We were led to believe by our devs that the concept used in InRiver of Product(parent) - Item (child) is not possible.
But it would make much more sense to have it all in the ERP that would communicate the information to InRiver and from there Enrich for E-comm.
Right now Nav Push and item number, that InRiver group under a Product that is created in InRiver.
An example IRL to give you an idea is this.
We are selling appliances.
This item -- WRT111SFDM -- A fridge Stainless steel
But this model is also available in 2 other colors
WRT111SFDW -- White
WRT111SFDB -- Black
In InRiver these 3 items are grouped together under a product number - WRT111SFD -
We can't use color as grouping feature since each color have a unique item number. So WRT111SFD is really virtual. The common trunk between the 3 items. What we sell is really one of the 3 item numbers. Not the parent.
Should I insist to make that grouping in NAV upstream? Or the way it is done, that is really not an option in Dynamics NAV possibilite?
