Hello, good morning,

I'm trying to access to Web Management Console, but the following error shows up '401-Anauthorized: access is denied due to invalid credentials'.

I have administrator profile.

Could anyone help me?

Thank you!

Regards,

Valeria.

When  the web client is installed, Active Directory users or Active Directory Groups are assigned to the webmanagment console.  Only users specified or users in the AD group specified can access.  So if domain\administrator was not assigned then you will not be able to access.

Hello Mike, thank you for your answer.

How can I check if my user was assigned as administrator when web client was installed?

One method is to look at the web.config file.  C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP Web Components\WebManagement

Another method is to run a repair.

It will default in the names of the user or AD groups assigned to the Web Administrator access.

    Hi Mike,

Thank you for your answer. I checked the file, I enclose you the print.

As far as I could see, the users who have access are those included in the 'Usuarios GP WEB' group.

How can I run a repair? The rest of the users will be able to keep working in GP?

    Thank you!

You can run a Repair by going into Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, right-clicking on 'Web Client' or 'Web Components' for Dynamics GP, then clicking 'Change' which will bring up the options where you can choose 'Repair'.

'Repair' sometimes works but sometimes can cause more issues, so if the Repair doesn't work, you may need to uninstall and reinstall which won't cause you to lose any setup, unless you're running multi-tenancy and have setup tenants in the WMC.

    Thanks
