Store Operations constant crashing

Hi guys, pretty much a last hope thing here,

We have a Dell Vostro system with xp set up with Dynamics rms.

We have had endless problems with hardware set up, but i think finally got it sorted.

Since someone managed to cleverly install SP3 onto the machine, the pos program would crash after pretty much every transaction, whether it be cash, card, account etc.

We have uninstalled SP3, which has helped a lot, but the system still crashes a few times a day. This appears to be ruining our sales reports as although the system knows it has the money and shows the transaction, it doesn't seem to apply it to the system, so we usually end up with the z report saying we are £xxxxx.xx over.

We had a company come in to sort it out, didn't work out too well, so trying to find a fix without smashing the computer through the window.

 Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Gee, and I thought we were the only lucky ones to experience this.....  I'm glad to know I am not alone.  Having said that, I see no resolution to this either.

I'm not happy with this product.

you downloaded the update how???  don't mean to sound so dumb, but my reseller seem to think he can't download the update.

We had the update/fix installed, but it did not help.

Now we have a new problem, after cashing up, if you print off an eft total at the start of the day, it says that we have taken x amount of money already taken on the credit cards. Cash up again, this time it would be xxxx amount that we have taken, obviously in some kind of magical land. It will not reset to zero like it should.

What a piece of crap microsoft.

We are having the same problems. After spending a lot of time, we managed to get the hardware (Partner Tech Products) working properly. However, the MS POS keeps crashing, and once it starts to crash, it keeps doing it every 5-10 minutes. I am sick of it. The error message and the event viewer is not telling anything useful as to what the reason is (usual Microsoft's error handling :( ). I was wondering if these forums are being monitored by Microsoft "experts". I guess not, since no resolution is being offered.

Is there ant updates or hot fixes (or something like that) published for MS POS 2.0? I cannot seem to find any.

    I'd appreciate any help...

    Thank you,

    Dan
