Hello All Experts,
I need to know the Dependency removal from the Dev Environment.

I have two solution in Dev environment.

1. X

2. Y

I want to deploy Y in the production but it depends on some component within X .

This is happening because There is common entity between the above two solution.

My query is that if i want to rollback the work which i have done in X .

1. Do i need to delete X solution from DEV environment.

Note:- Both Solutions are unmanaged in Dev Environment. Exported as managed.

Deleting solution from Dev environment will not do anything. It will just remove the container and all components will stay within the organization.

If you need to deploy solution Y to prod, and it relies on a component that is in solution X, you must add that component to Y in order to be able to import it into your production environment or this will fail.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello Aric,

But in my scenario i don't want to add dependencies, or more over to say i don't want to import those customizations in the production.

i just want to rollback the customization done in X such that the dependency should get resolved.

one more thing before removing the customization i want to keep them in backup so that if require we will again put that in the DEV environement.

what will be the best approach for this.

    My Friend,

If you want to remove unmanaged components you need to delete them one by one. As you know there is no straight uninstall in case of unmanaged. So delete all components individually.

Just as Mahen said. You have to remove them one at a time.

    Sorry...

Ok Guys Thanks for your help and support.

    one more doubt regarding this.

if in my case dependency from X solution Some Components and not all the components.

I am planning to just make another solution in which i will only select those dependent components for backup and then one by one will delete it.

will this approach be good enough.
