Migration to BC.19 or higher on premises. Question about unlimited table objects.

Hello,

I got a question which I wanted to send directly to Microsoft Business Central support, but I don't have a clue by which channel should I perform it. Can someone guide me?

Anyways, here is the question, maybe someone know the answer: We have a Customer which will be migrated from NAV 2018 to BC.19 or higher, and the question is if he will have unlimited objects? I mean, in the NAV 2018, the tables were limited, you have to pay for an extended table, and after the migration he will have unlimited objects, no need to pay? It is worth distinguish that the system in both way is on premises.

I would be very grateful for the answer or indication of the channel by which I should address the question to the Microsoft Business Central Support.

Best regards.

    Hi Matthew,

to migrate from NAV2018 to BC19, firstly you need to convert every table (and other objets that you have in your database) to extensions.

If your customer goes to Saas, he can use as tables (really objects) as needs.  But if he goes to on-prem, I am sorry but he will need to pay for each table as the same way as before.

Don't forget to help the community by verifying the answer or at least like the suggestion if it did help in any way. It will let others know that the topic has verified answer and was beneficial to you.
