    Requisition Management in Business portal has supported functionality to attach documents. Although, you could manage to solve this manually by creating a separate SharePoint list to archive the following details for each requisition;

    • Requisition Number
    • PO Number (when migrated to GP)
    • Attachment document

    Hi Mahmoud Saadi,

    Thanks for your response. Kindly clarify this to me:

    1. When  you say that 'Requisition Mgmnt has supported functionality to attach documents', where can I view this in Business Portal ?
    2. Any quick guide on how I can set up a separate Sharepoint list ?

    Regards,

    Peter Muchira

    Apologies for the "typo", I meant to say - has no supported functionality to attach documents, and you could manually work this around by creating a SharePoint list.

    Nothing complicated, this is nothing but a simple workaround solution, which requires manual entry for each requisition on a separate SharePoint custom list. The steps to create a custom list in SharePoint can be check on the following link under "Create Custom List";

    You can add the following columns to the list, which are;

    • Requisition Number: which is the requisition that is generated each time you create a new requisition in Requisition Management.
    • Purchase Order Number: Once the Requisition is finally approved and migrated to GP, a PO number is generated. This can be recorded as well in the list for mapping purposes.
    • Attachment: simply attach whatever documents you want to the requisition

    This means, each time a new requisition is created, someone has got to manually go the SharePoint list above, and enter those details. Furthermore, you could search the list for any specific requisition attachment.

    For the mean time, although this is a manual work around solution, but it could be considered as a very time feasible (can be created in less than five minutes!), and easy to manage work around.

    Hope this helps,
