When I create a process to send an email whenever a new opportunity is created, the email is not being sent to outlook. Instead it is showing up in the timeline section of that particular opportunity as an email. How to fix this?

Hope you are well.
Apparently the email message is being created in Dynamics as he is showing up in the activities timeline for opportunity record.
Somethings we need to check out:
>Who is FROM for the email message?
>Is this account properly configured inside Dynamics in order to outgoing?

Who should the FROM be for the email message? I've set up the FROM to be myself for now since I was testing it but in future the from would be the person who is the creator of the opportunity but I'm not sure if that's going to work or not
What would be the appropriate account configuration settings?
