Report Extension - Add Shipment Date to Sales Order

I've created an extension using reportextension to modify the Sales Order report.
However, I am having issues having Shipment Date appear in the sales lines.
Wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on this.

The Shipment Date appears in the dataset, but there are no values appearing.  I have confirmed there are shipment dates.

I am having the same issue adding Work Type Codes to the Sales Lines on the Sales Quote report.
