what happens to the Legacy/web Client if you don't transition to Unified Interface

Hi All,

When you setup D365 a custom app is created which uses the legacy web interface.

I would like to understand what is going to happen with the Legacy Web Client if you do not migrate to the Unified interface.

Will this App disappear all together or will it just transition to the Unified Interface by default?

Microsoft is moving towards the UCI only phase slowly, In future the web client will not be available and may be users might forcefully moved to UCI (if they did not moved even after official notifications ).

It better to move to UCI now and validate the functionality and address in case you face any issues.

The custom app you've highlighted will get automaticlly converted to Unified Interface, however some things may not work as expected and you get a warning that advises you to create your own app or customise something like the Sales Hub.

Thanks Paul, this is the answer I was looking for. Does Microsoft confirm this in any of their documentation?

There's a setting under the Admin Settings that you can set to force Unified Interface, if you set this that App will render Unified as well.  Suspect that what will happen will be they force that setting on - I haven't seen any detail from Microsoft other than saying October in when it will get forced to Unified

    Hi,

    Hi Mehdi,

according to this, yes you should still be able to go back (but it is highly suggested to test the transitions in non-production environment)

Also for a fast check you could try with this trick:

    Hope it helps,
