Hi,

We are using AX2012/R3.

We have in use a lot of different item groups e.g. (15,20,25,30,60,65,75)

I'm wondering f it's possible to allow negative on-hand e.g. on item group 30.

This is because item group 30 is a manufactured item on filling order and I would like to automate it so robot would pick correct qty/pallet with flushing principle finish.

When manufacturing an recipe we use density to calculate outcome of an item. This means we do not know exact match so I would like to allow negative inventory for it.

Is it possible to do such setups or is it possible to modify in system?

Does "Storage Dimension group" and Tracking dimension group have somEthing to do with this scenario?

Yes item model group is assigned to item i'm testing.

Does the item / component that is not sufficient have the item model group 'test' assigned?

Hi,

Item model group negative inventory enabled and model group added to an item.

Production control parameters set to pick negative.

Warehouse set to pick negative.

Still not working. Mobile does not allow to pick negative.

Any suggestions what could cause it?

In AX2012 are several places to allow negative inventory. It needs only to be enabled on item model group?

Enabling the financial negative inventory parameter in your item model group should be sufficient for this purpose.

Hi Sami,

You can distinct for allowing negative inventory using the item model groups; not the item group. So, if you use multiple item model groups, you can set one to allow for negative inventory and the other not.
