Fixed Asset Disposal

Hi,

Is the standard process for fixed asset disposal that the transactions disappear when I drill down by clicking on book value - The transactions of acquisition and deprecation  are not there anymore its all blank

I acquired an asset

depreciated the asset

Then FA G/L Journals I created a disposal transaction- The book value change to zero which make sense, but when i drilldown to see the transactions behind the zero book value, the screen is blank and all the previous transactions are not there anymore

Is there a setup that i m missing ?

Thanks

Ola

You can check Statistics page accessed from process on top left , for previous transactions though the book value drill down shows none

    Hi Ola,

To see all entries you can always use CRTL + F7   (... / Related / History / Ledger Entries).

And then I also think you should see all entries when you drill down into the "Book Value" from the FA Depreciation Book.

This works fine in older versions.

But I also see that in BC17 new filters have been applied to the Book Value field in case the asset is disposed.

It seems we now filter on "FA Posting Category" = Disposal and "FA Posting Type" "Book Value on Disposal".

    That seems to be new.

Thanks Dirk, yes that is correct, the view is automatically filtered.  when I removed all the filters the transactions showed up. i dont think that filter makes any sense to be there by default. very misleading.

Thanks Dirk. These default filters make no sense . I wonder if I can remove them via code?

This will be investigated and hopefully the change that has been made in year 2018 will be reversed.
