HI Expert,

We have an issue, when our Purchasing agent suddenly delete one line from Po that coming from PR. We cancelled all The PO, but the PR still closed not change to approved.

Therefore, we can't released the PR to Approved. If we checked on the PR, the PO number still there. the question is how to break the link from PO that already deleted and the second is how to reopened again the PR

Regards

RIdwan Tahir

    Hello,

As long as the PO is not confirmed you can delete the PO line or PO and the PR will change the status to approved from closed. But once PO is confirmed, the PR and PO will be linked. so now if one removes the line from PO and confirm the PO again, PR will not get disassociated with PO line, this is to track the PO. It is std. system functionality. As a work around you need to cancel the PO and Create a new PR and convert the PO.

    HI Naveen,

Thanks for the replied. We have tried to remove the line when the PO is closed. However the PR still closed instead of Approved. Is there any particular configuration that we should do?

    Hello Ridwan,

There is no configuration for changing the status for PR. Since you are able to process the PR cycle i can assume your configurations are correct. I suggest you to create a new PR and continue. As for this PR, since the related PO is cancelled, there should not be any issues

    hi Naveen,

For this PR, we created the new one. However, we just think for the next. if the process is happening again? In my opinion, its the normal standard when the PO cancelled the PR is Open

    Hello Ridwan,

I agree with you, if we look at business process, your points is valid.

In ax we do get the option to do this as long as PO is not confirmed, we get the below message when we try to delete the PO

but after PO confirmation we dont have this option, however PO confirmation versions will maintain the record of these changes.

    Hi Naveen,

Really appreciate for your reply. However, on our system there is no message when we remove the line even when The PO status is approved.Thats why, i'm curious whether we have some missing in configuration or not.
