hi I have a requirement to use a lookup for locations ! this is then being added to a data table so we can add multiple locations to a case record. this has already bean constructed and now need a way of reporting by location. any ideas? thanks

You would need to do your charts and Views on the Location entity rather than the case, You can then pull any information you want through, Your other option would be to use Power Bi to get them

As I understand you request, on want to report only on some records that a a defined location for example.
If it's the case, I advice you to create a custom view, by fixing a location as a filter criteria. You can then run you charts, reports based on the list of records desired.

we already have a chart to display the data but it is the reporting on this data that is the issue?
it being a grid as I understand is only viewable on the created case? would like to report based on this location or locations.

Hello,
You can report your locations in charts and dashboards by selecting the location lookup field as a Series element in the chart.
Create a chart on the entity which contains the lookup field and group you chart series based on this field.
