Hi Siv Sagar
thanks for your time and information. The challenge is Product 1 is available in multiple warehouses and need to ship from multiple warehouses. Hence, we cannot restrict that to one customer and one location. But for Customer A we always want to sell from Location Z
Note: customer can buy other products from other locations this restriction is only for Product 1
Is this possible?
Hi MahGah,
o achieve the requirement of selling and shipping a specific product from a particular location to a specific customer, you can utilize the following components:
Item/Product Setup: In the product setup, you can specify the default location from where the product should be shipped. You can navigate to Product Information Management module and set the default location (Location Z) for Product 1.
Customer Specific Settings: In the customer setup, you can define specific settings and restrictions for each customer. You can navigate to the Accounts Receivable module and locate the customer record for Customer A. Within the customer record, you can set up a specific rule or restriction that allows only Product 1 to be sold and shipped.
Sales Order Configuration: When creating a sales order for Customer A, you can enforce the rule by ensuring that only Product 1 is selectable for this customer. This can be achieved through customization or using standard functionality like trade agreements, where you define the product-specific pricing and availability for each customer.
Shipping Configuration: To restrict shipping from a specific location (Location Z), you can configure the shipping options in the Warehouse Management module. This can include setting up rules for automatic allocation of inventory to sales orders, ensuring that the inventory from Location Z is prioritized for Customer A's orders.
Best regards,
Siv Sagar
