Hello,

I have created power BI report using data entities and exported data to Azure SQL DB. I have published report to Power BI.com. Now I am trying to deploy report in Dynamics 365 using path System administration >Setup >Deploy Power BI then I am getting an error "Deployment failed for file Power BI report."

Hi Parag,

Did you manage to find a solution for this, i'm having a similar problem although i'm using an OData source.

Hi Ben,

Are you using Direct query mode ? I have raised ticket with Microsoft and they said that we have to use Direct query mode. Please try again and let me know outcome.

I believe for OData, your only option is to use an Import Query. Perhaps you're only able to use Direct Query to Entity Store using this deployment method?

Yes. For OData, We have only import query option. I have alternative solution to use report in Dynamics 365 workspace. You can publish report to PowerBi.com and add report to Asset Library. In D365, you can add report to workspace without deploying report.

I am not able to deploy report and raised ticket with MS. You can put your query in Yammer group. You can get solution there from MS team.

Thanks - I've managed to deploy the report to a workspace. My next issue is that it has been published to "My Workspace" I Power BI Service. I can see the tiles ok, but the report file doesn't open properly when I add a link from the Report Catalog. Error message "Power BI Content not available" - When I deploy this to an App Workspace it works ok have you encountered this issue before?

have you come up with a solution of this problem ? i am using D365FO cloud, i have uploaded the .pbix file in LCS, but gets the same error when i try to publish BI report in my environment.

Hello everyone.

Has everyone resolved this issue?

I am facing this issue while I try to deploy powerBI reports from D365 from "Deploy powerBI reports" menu. It is giving me error "Deployment failed for PowerBI report XXXX".

Can anyone tell me where to see the error logs?
