Changed Based Alerts & E-mail Sending Status

Can anyone tell me if the "Change Based Alerts" batch job, will populate the "E-mail sending status" screen with an attempt to send emails?

Or if this table is only populated when the "E-mail Distributor Batch" is run?

The reason I ask this, is that I do not want to start the "E-mail Distributor Batch" in case there are users testing that functionality, and customers/vendors get accidentally emailed. However, I want to implement "Changed Based Alerts" and prove that the email are being generated (but fail to send of course).

I have the same question (0)

I can confirm that the "Change Based Alerts" batch job populates the "E-mail sending status" screen without the "E-mail Distributor Batch"  running. :-)
