Engineering change management - Workflow assignment error

Hi all,

I have created an ECM change order, while activating workflow. So I've created the Engineering product, then I have created an engineer change order, then have made a change on the item through change order, then I have submitted the order for change order processing. Then, the workflow failed to assign the approval task for myself, mentioning "Insufficient security permissions" to my user.

I have assigned myself to security role "Product engineer manager" which includes "Approve engineering change orders", and I am still receiving the same error!

So, have anyone met this problem while testing ECM change order process while workflow is activated?

    Hi,

    It is recommended to create a support ticket, and even if the error says that the administrator role has no permission.

    Agree. Product is still in review and I guess Microsoft either is working on some fixes in progress to be released soon, or relying on community to help through raising supporting tickets.

    Just sharing how I have found others had solved it on ECM Yammer group.

    It has been identified as a technical issue that requires the involvement of a developer, until Microsoft fixes it. This error is triggered because the workflow document query, EngChgEcmHeaderDocument, does not return any records.

    The developer will need to get the workflow running by duplicating the query without the table EngChgEcmDependency, and replace it in the workflow using event handlers.
