Can't get Dynamics 365 Portal add-on to work?

Hi there dynamics community,

I'm looking to try and configure a portal add-on for a system. I've enabled it in the instance options, and have done this with systems before. This system previously used adx studio, and I have started to remove solutions however haven't successfully managed to remove them all yet (there seems to be a lot of components that I can't remove from ADXstudio 7.x).

My question is why won't the portal add-on work? All I seem to be seeing is an old adxstudio layout rather than the new portals, and in the Dynamics 365 ribbon there is no portals option for the new portals.
This leads me to believe that ADXstudio is to blame, and is there an efficient way to uninstall all of this to allow me to use the new portals? What is the best practice under these circumstances?
Any help would be appreciated

Kind Regards
Josh

Update to this, deleted all ADXStudio related solutions in the end, however given I enabled the portal add-on beforehand is this what is messing up the installation?  When I go into the portal administration section, when I want to update portal binding, the website records are all ADX related rather than the new custom portal in dynamics 365. Any reason why I can't see the new ones?

    Thanks

    Josh

Edit: When going through the "Manage dynamics 365 instance" section I am able to select custom portal. Will update on progress when this is complete.
