Prevent from creating a new Lead from event registration

Hi,

I found that if I flag "Create Lead for event registrations" in event entity, the system creates a new lead every time it submits the event registration form. But I would like it to update existing Leads, as it is for contacts (because I might have a Lead which registers for different events and I don't want duplicates). Is there a way to do that? Or maybe a "work-around"

Thank you

I need to disable this flag so it creates a contact instead of a lead when somebody registers. Where do I find it?

    Hi,

There is no OOTB option to control the creation.

But you can use the Merge function to deal with the duplicate leads.

Please refer to the following documentation.

Merge duplicate records in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (on-premises) | Microsoft Docs
