Data not getting filtered even after adding fixed field relation

Hi, 
We wanted to have a lookup for a field. The lookup is coming fine but when i want to filter it using field fixed relation, its not working. Can you please suggest what can be wrong . Already tried rebuild, build models.

    HI Amin,
    So if i add the relation of pricegroup.altPriceGroupId == PriceDiscGroup.GroupId, the lookup comes with all the values . But now i want to filter tha data having module value as cust. I added it in the relation , but its not working. Still I am getting all the values.

    I think you must use a lookup method instead relation in table on your form.

    Okay I will, but any reason why the data is not getting filtered?

    the answer is simple the relationship is not a filter since we have the data in the table we can display it !

    Then why it does work for other tables and not here? Am i missing something ?

    The relation isn't the only thing you should take into account. For example, there may be an explicitly implemented lookup() method, overriding the default lookup logic (based on a data entity).
     
    Unfortunately, you told us very little about your particular situation, therefore giving you a specific answer is difficult.

    Hi Martin, 
    This field is newly created . It has to show values of field X present in the same table . Like suppose we have X,Y,Z fields in table and I want lookup of Y to show the values of X with Z (modules )having Cust as value. Hope I am able to explain.

    Your screenshot shows that you added relation between the same table
    PricrDiscGroup.Field == PriceDiscGroup.GroupId?
     
    Are you sure this is correct? As maybe field fixed doesn't work properly if it's the same table.

    You can try and create a new table and add the same relation just to test and confirm if the issue is because you used the same table or not

    If the same table was the issue, then you can simply override the lookup of the field
