Hi
i m using multiple foreign currencies in my AP subledger. sometimes user changes the FX rate on the transaction so its different from the currency FX rate in the currency exchange table.
When I tried printing Aged AP report in home currency. I realized that it coverts all FX amount into home currency using the rate on the currency table not the rate that has been used in the transaction and ultimately posted to GL. Is there a way to print the Aged AP in home currency without the system converting the foreign currency amounts using exchange rate in the currency table rather than the exact exchange rate used in the tranaction?
Thanks
Ola
Thanks Chris
I m very surprised by how the report was built and I really cant understand the reason behind that. Im also surprised that no one commented about that before
Ola,
Ugh. The best I can think of is to create a Power BI or Jet Report to pull the detailed transaction and you have a column of data referencing the 1.3 rate vs. transaction rate.
You could look at taken Vendor Ledger Entries and include Balance and Balance ($) to reflect USD and EURO posted values.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steve
Hi Chris,
Thank you for your reply. Yes I did, but this will print amounts in the Vendor foreign currency. I need all foreign currencies to be printed in home currency as per the rate used in each transaction.
so if my home currency is USD and i have a EUR transaction
Exchange rate in Euro currency table is 1.3 but user for this transaction used 1.4
i want the report to show the transaction in USD amount using 1.3 exchange rate as this is what has been posted to the GL
Thanks
Ola
Ola,
Did you run the Aged Accounts Payable report with the Options turned on for 'Print Amount in Vendor Currency' and 'Print Detail'. Each document will show Document Currency in the last column.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Steve
