Timeline show activities from other accounts

Hi there,

the account timeline shows activities from other account?

Even if I only display only emails, there are emails from other accounts in the list.

Has anyone an idea?

    Hi netgo,

    Account activities will be rollup to its parent Account timeline, which is by design and cannot be changed.

    that was my first idea too but there is no parent account in my scenario.

    Hello Chris,

    Please open each of the email activities and check the fields Regarding (regardingobjectid) to confirm which is the account associated.

    If it is not the target one, you may check if they are related someway, like parent/child.

    If the accounts in the emails are the same but the emails should not be linked to this one, maybe they are being incorrectly linked due to correlation method like smart matching. See this link for more details: docs.microsoft.com/.../email-message-filtering-correlation

    Hey Flavia,

    We are having this problem, not sure if smart matching was turned on for a period of time.

    We increased the incremental message counter digit a week ago and are not having the problems since.

    However, how do I delete the duplicate Timeline Email activity in one Account but not the correct account.

    Is there a related Activity ID that differentiates these for deletion?

    Hi,

    Can you also check If Email Activity Party fields like To, CC, BCC has Account added in Email.

    Hey  Bipin,

    no, there are no fields, other than To: that have the Account

    I think we have resolved the issue by changing the number of digits for incremental message counter

    The challenge I have now is removing the Email Activity in the other Account.

    I deleted one of the duplicate Email Activities from an Account and it deleted it from the original Account.

    I imagine there has to be some unique Activity ID for the Activity appearing in each Account that I could delete, but not sure where to access it
