Adding multiple opportunities to a single opportunity in CRM Online

Hello,

Is there a way to add or link multiple opportunities to a single opportunity in CRM Online?

I know it is possible by creating a lookup field but we need to add multiple opportunities.

Also, the sub grid does not work as it shows all the opportunities in the default view.

Any suggestions on this?

Thank you.

You can implement using using relationship or you can use connections as well to associate opportunities.

If you want to link the opportunities, you need to create a relationship:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../create-edit-entity-relationships

You can, then, display that relationship in a subgrid (you will only see related opportunities then)

    Hello,

    Thank you for the reply.

I framed the question in a wrong way.

The way we have parent-child relationship in CRM, eg: many opportunities linked to a single account.

In the same way, I need to create a parent-child relationship in Opportunities.

Eg: I have an opportunity ABC. I go inside it and create another opportunity XYZ etc. which is a child to ABC and can be used in reporting as well.

    Is this scenario possible?

    Thank you.

It seems you just need to add a lookup to the opportunity entity and put it on the form(a lookup which will be pointing to an opportunity as well)?

Then you can add a subgrid to display related opportunities.

If you click "+" button on that subgrid, then "new", a new opportunity will have that lookup populated automatically from the "parent" opportunity.
