Power BI API vendor table not showing all fields

Hello,

When connecting to Business Central to Power BI, how can you see all the fields from the Vendor Table through the APIs connection?

is there a way to make all the fields available on all of the tables from BC?
I have the same question (0)

Out of the box not all, but quite a few fields are available. If a field is not available, a developer can create a copy of the API and add the missing field, its pretty simple to do.

Hi, because what is connected in Power Bi is not a table but a page. The fields are not added to the page, so not all fields are displayed.
If you are connecting to a Web Service (Odata), you can add the fields to the page first so that they will also appear in Power Bi.
If you are connecting to a standard API, unfortunately this requires customization as of now.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

I don't think you need all fields as there can be so many fields - Microsoft Extension, PTE and ISV Extension.

Make a list of fields that you need and create a custom API to have data available in API to Power BI.

BC exposes APIs and APIs get certain fields from certain tables. The OOTB APIs are usually based on Page APIs, which are slower compared to Query APIs when only reading data, as you do in Power BI. A user can not edit these APIs, and developers can also not extend APIs, they need to develop new ones.

My suggestion is to always develop your custom Query APIs for any Power BI reporting. It's not difficult to do, and if you want to learn how, then have a look here:
