May I kindly ask what is the meaning of the Discrepancy value on the Inventory value report?
I have run the value report and I see this discrepancy value of 1 686 004.09 on the summary section of the value report. I then checked the GL Voucher transactions for direct postings to inventory Ledger accounts and also ran the Potential conflicts report. Both the Potential Conflict report discrepancy and the Sum of voucher transaction values for direct postings to inventory ledger accounts amount to 1 506 572.71.
So the difference between the 1 686 004.09 (from value report) and 1 506 572.71 (from conflict report = direct postings to the inventory ledger accounts) is 179 431.38.
I am not quiet sure what this value of 179 431.38 actually means but I think if I get to understand what the discrepancy on the value report means I would be able to get to the bottom of this. Please advise if you know what this discrepancy on the value report is telling us? Screenshot below:
